The YMCA provides care for school aged children during school vacations and holidays. Children will go on field trips and enjoy special activities. This is a state licensed program. Care is provided from 7:00am-6:00pm and is a state licensed program, therefore, a current medical is required. Registration forms will be available at the childcare sites, the YMCA office or click HERE.

The YMCA strives to provide care, when the public schools are closed due to inclement weather. If the ymca is able to safely provide care, it will be from 9:00am - 4:30pm at a location to be determined. This is a state licensed program, therefore, a current medical is required. The YMCA Preschool Program emphasizes social, emotional and physical development through stories, games, music, group activities, free play, arts & crafts and creative movement. The Preschool Program fosters growth and development by providing a balance of activities that encourage physical and intellectual development. 2015 - 2016 BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CHILD CARE PROGRAMS
Programs are available at all the Glastonbury Elementary schools and Gideon Welles (Smith students can attend Gideon) and follow the YMCA of the USA school-age curriculum and incorporate arts and humanities, character development, health, wellness and fitness, homework help, literacy, science and technology and social competence and conflict resolution.
