Programs are available at all the Glastonbury Elementary Schools and Gideon Welles (Smith students can attend Gideon) and follow the YMCA of the USA school-age curriculum and incorporate arts and humanities, character development, health, wellness and fitness, homework help, literacy, science and technology and social competence and conflict resolution.

GLASTONBURY YMCA PRESCHOOL
The YMCA Preschool Program emphasizes social, emotional and physical development through stories, games, music, group activities, free play, arts & crafts and creative movement. The Preschool Program fosters growth and development by providing a balance of activities that encourage physical and intellectual development. YMCA Preschool is licensed by the State of CT Department of Public Health.

The Glastonbury Family YMCA strives to provide care, when the public schools are closed due to inclement weather. If the YMCA is able to safely provide care, it will be 9:00AM - 4:30PM at Hebron Ave. Elementary School. For more information and registration forms, please call the office at (860)633-6548.
The YMCA provide care for school aged children during school vacations and holidays at the Hebron Avenue School for the 2017-18 School Year. Registration will be available at the child care sites, the YMCA office and online 3 weeks prior to a vacation day. Care is provided from 7:00am to 6:00pm. Children will go on field trips and enjoy special activities. This is a state licensed program, therefore, current medicals must be on file with the Y office.
