This 1-hour interactive assessment is a great way to get started on your wellness journey! Our goal is to help you get the most out of your membership and guide you towards achieving that reason why you joined. Come and meet with us so we can help you move forward in your health and fitness goals. We want to find out as much as we can about you: what your fitness goals are, what your fitness background is, and how you move. After that, we will recommend the best plan of action for you to be successful here at the Y.

 

What you can expect:

 

  • A series of questions so we know the reason you are at the Y
  • Take some baseline assessments and find out if you have any injuries we need to be aware of
  • Determine your availability and help you plan out your training during week
  • Educate you on our Wellness Center, Group Fitness Class Schedule, and what programs we are currently offering
  • Put you through our 8-Point Mobility Evaluation to determine how you move so we can give you some areas of your body to target for improvement
  • Show you some basic foundational exercises so you can feel more confident you are doing things correctly
  • Get some baseline strength assessments on a handful of our exercise machines
  • Give you our Warrior 20 Food List and Simple Healthy Eating Strategies to help you start to make good food choices
  • You will leave with some valuable information about yourself that you will be able to use as soon as you are done

 

Expect your session to last around 60 minutes.
