Glastonbury Family YMCA and Glastonbury Youth Football League - Co-ed Flag Football (K - Grade 5)

Glastonbury Family YMCA in conjunction with the Glastonbury Youth Football League presents Co-ed Flag Football for grades kindergarten through 3rd grade.  Coaches devise offensive and defensive plays that teach football concepts and strategy. Everyone plays at least half the game.  All Flag football equipment will be provided.  Cleats are encouraged but not necessary; no metal cleats allowed.

Ready to take it to a whole new level and join our team? Learn exciting routines on Olympic euipment and compete regionally in both USAG and YMCA leagues from levels 1 & up. YMCA leagues provide a more relaxed competitive atmosphere while USAG provides a more highly competitive environment. Choose to compete one or both; we have a league just right for you! By invitation to members only. Contact your Y for an evaluation today! Fees paid monthly by ATS. Weekly practice schedules vary by level.

Horseback Riding (Ages 7 - 15)

Participants will receive significant English riding instruction while learning about the parts of the horse, the equipment, the care, grooming, and safety around horses. Please wear pants and a hard sole shoe with a heel. Protective headgear will be provided. Open to the first seven children.

Sports of All Sorts (Ages 3 - 6)

Sports of all sorts! Each week a new sport is introduced including soccer, hockey, basketball, T-ball, and volleyball. Warm up and stretching is followed by skill development and a game. The children will learn team spirit and sportsmanship, all while having fun! Along the way, the children will also gain improved motor skills, hand eye coordination, and socialization.

Youth Tennis (Ages 6 - 12)

Kids interested in the game of tennis will benefit from basic fundamental instruction. Youth Tennis focuses on basic fundamentals, including basic ground strokes (forehand, backhand), the serve, scoring, and rally. Beginner lessons are structured around skill-building games and exercises that incorporate the fundamentals of tennis into a game based approach.
